The World Cup is two weeks gone, but the Tampa Bay Rowdies are still riding the wave.
Brian Bailey, whose rkc.me agency handles social media creative for the local pro soccer club, rolled out a promotion called #rowdiesface for a home game with the Atlanta Silverbacks on July 12, the night before Cup final...
...Bailey knew he needed a punchy kick off to his promotion, and he got one. Principal owner Bill Edwards agreed to have some stripes and stars plastered on his mug. He was joined by St. Petersburg-based pitchman Anthony Sullivan, who’s also the voice of the Rowdies; he went with a more KISS-influenced look. Theirs was the first photo on #rowdiesface....

Cancer Survivors Celebrate Life With Body Art

A group of uninhibited cancer survivors agreed to have their bodies painted for a book to be published by Faces of Courage this spring...
...Ovarian cancer survivor Darcy Rizzo of New Port Richey asked St. Petersburg artist Dessislava Petrov for a body-painting design in shades of teal, the signature color for ovarian cancer... "It's also my favorite color," said Rizzo.
Diagnosed with cancer five years ago, Rizzo has attended the Faces of Courage camp twice and says, "The camp healed my soul."
"If this helps more women to be able to attend camp, it's well worth it," she said.
